The Augustine Literacy Project® of the Triangle trains and supports volunteer tutors who provide free, one-to-one instruction in reading, writing and spelling to low-income children in our area: Durham, Orange, Wake, and Chatham counties. Our programs are based on the Orton-Gillingham approach: multisensory, direct, explicit, structured, and sequential phonics instruction.
